Extreme couponing

I use my fair share of coupons but I am amazed by the new show called extreme couponing. I'm watching a guy get his entire 800+ dollar order for nothing, I can't imagine this type of couponing would work, I've never seen coupons as good as these people find it is completely amazing. The stock piles these people have in their homes is amazing. Perhaps I should work harder at this hobby and try to get all my groceries for free.

Black and yellow

This was the weekend that we were waiting for, Jay's championship basketball weekend. The boys did very well winning their first 4 games well and making it to the championship game. It seemed good for the first half, the boys were doing well and looked like they would easily win but the 2nd half proved much more challangeing and the boys got themselves into foul trouble in the end they lost the game. You certainly couldn't ask for more effort and they of course were disapointed in the results, but we were very proud of their play for sure.

Drug Company Policy

I get so frustrated when I hear about recalls for drugs because of unforseen side effects that they cause. The process to get a drug on the market is supposed to be so through that you would expect that the testing phase would work out all the details to ensure the drug is safe for human consumption on a mass level. One of the most common diseases now is diabetes and a common drug used for type 2 suffers is called Actos. It has now been linked to heart attacks and heart failures. This new information has led to the formation of Actos lawsuit. You can contact the experts to see if your case would qualify for the lawsuit and to help you answer any of your questions regarding Actos.

AGING GRACEFULLY

An elderly couple was attending a church service. About halfway through the sermon she leans over and says to her husband:

'I just let out a silent fart, what do you think I should do?'
He replies,
' I think you should put a new battery in your hearing aid, cause silent that was not!

LAST LAUGH

A man walks into a pharmacy, buys a 3pk of condoms then walks out of the store laughing hysterically.

The pharmacist thinks this is weird, but, “hey, there’s no law preventing weird people from buying condoms, maybe it’s a good thing?”

the next day, the man comes back to the store, purchases another 3pk of condoms, and once again leaves the store laughing wildly. This piques the interest of the pharmacist. “What’s so funny about buying rubbers?” thinks the pharmacist.

So the pharmacist tell his clerk, “If this guy ever comes back again, I want you to follow him to see where he goes.”

Sure enough, the next day the laugher is back, he buys another 3pk of condoms, starts cracking up, then leaves.

The pharmacist send his clerk out to follow the guy. About an hour later the clerk comes back to the store. “Did you follow him? Where did he go? Asks the pharmacist.

The clerk replies, “Your house!”

Nursing Scrub Shopping

I have a friend that is starting Nursing in a few weeks and while she is very excited to start her career she is frustrated with standard Nursing Uniforms because she has a difficult body shape that doesn't work well with standard scrub sets. I recently found this great webite from Blue Sky Scrubs. They have the ability to customize the cotton medical scrubs to exactly the shape and size that she needed.
I never realized how many options and choices there really were for cotton nursing scrubs until I spent some time helping her in her search for the perfect uniforms. There literally is a scrub set for every occassion if you look for it. It would be quite fun and stylish to work in the hospital profession. It has been a long time since I've had a hospital visit but I can remember all the professionals being in basically the same uniform, same color, quite boring. I would have to say that isn't the case anymore with all the awesome choices you have from http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/

Car Maintance Made Simple

It can be so frustrating having older vehicles, you never know when they will let you down and cost you money for repairs. It usually tends to be at the most inappropriate time. Just last week we found our selves in need of repairs on both our vehicles, my husband was away and had a problem with his starter now where do you find a good auto repair shop that you can trust when you are not familiar with the area? When he got home we found out that our Pontiac Montana was in need of some general maintenance, now mind you it wasn't anything dramatic but it was again a cost we didn't have budgeted when the naintance was due and we had to take it into the shop to get the work done. As usual they were fantastic and looked after us quickly. While doing the routine check over they found that we were also in need of a brake job which I figured was coming as there was a pulsation we noticed recently. It's like you never know if you are being treated fairly by your garage or not. If you are like me you don't know how much a repair should cost you.
The next time you have a service light or question about a repair try out the great site RepairPal.com to get an estimate as to what your repair should cost you to be sure you get a fair deal when you go in for your repairs. They have a really simple site that allows you to search your vehicles year and make to find out various information including any recalls. You can be sure you are paying a fair price for repairs when you use RepairPal.com

Left Behind

We left for home today leaving hubby at our new home while he starts his new job and we go back to finish up the school year at our old home. Now not only did we leave him behind but we decided the dogs would stay with him as well. So Blake said not only do I have to leave my Dad but now I have to leave my dogs too, this isn't a good day. I hope he will be feeling better when we get home and he gets back to school with his friends.

The wonder of life

The absolute perfection that arrives with the birth of a new child, imagine all the things that have to go right to develop this little person from a begining of just a egg in her mothers womb. It is so heart breaking when you hear of someone that has a child with a birth defect, even harder when it is possible that it is because of something out of their control. Recently a Topamax lawsuit was organized to cover people that were effected by taking this Topamax drug to help them with their migraines or epileptic seizures. What a shame that drug testing didn't see this coming and people have to suffer with the Drug companies greed and rush to push drugs onto the market.

Doggy Sitting

With our process of moving my husband will be going to our new home early as he has a new job to start. We were debating on what to do with our dogs as to where they will stay. We think at this point that they will stay at our new home with him to give us a bit of a break. I'll miss their cuddles and toe warming but I think it will be best for them to get used to our new home too.

Rain..Rain Go Away

Ok enough is enough, it has rained for 13 of the last 14 days and I have had enough! We did a drive today to visit family and it poured rain for the whole trip. To add on top of that it was foggy to which really sucked. I would love to see some nice weather for a change, it makes it hard to enjoy Spring or to look forward to Summer.

Out to the movies

The kids are getting excited for the release of the newest Pirates of the Carribean movie. We thought the series was all over but apparently they have found new adventure for old Jack to head off on. I am staying away from the trailers so I don't have any idea what is going to happen, it should be exciting.

Kids say the funniest things

After a long day of dance competitions and shopping we decided to take the kids out to DQ for a special treat. As we were sitting there enjoying our treat we started talking about our upcoming visit to Grandma and Grandpa's house when Trinity asked when Grandpa was shredding the sheep, Shredding, do you mean Shearing dear?

Anger

I'm so disappointed at this latest news from the world of medicine. I heard that it has been discoverd that a drug used to treat epilepsy and migraine headaches has been linked to birth defects in childrens who's parents have taken the drug. Topamax was supposed to be a miracle drug that helped ease the suffering of it's patients. The birth defects cause cleft lips or palets and it is a very scary situation. The Topamax lawsuit was recently launched to bring accountability to the drug companies that have pushed these drugs onto the market. It is so angering to hear of these lawsuits being launched because it means that another group of people have been hurt by those they trusted.

Renovations ahead

We are in the process of moving and this always bring us many challanges and fun times as we close the door on one home and open the door to another. We are trying to keep our costs down this time and we are so busy so we are doing a lot of shopping online to save time and increase our selection of choices from just the local stores. We have decided to reuse most of the furniture in our home but with a few new accessories to change it up for it's new home. One thing we love is our dining room table that seats 8 and is very beautiful. We decided to shop for new dining chair cushion to match our new dining room color. We were excited about all the designs and colors that were available.
Next we were off to the shop for the kitchen dinette table that we have for quick meals or when we entertain extra guests. kitchen chair pads it didn't take long for us to find exactly what we wanted and with a few clicks we had our new kitchen cushions being sent to us in time for move in day.

Our next challange is on the outside of our home we have a large patio but it is covered with a roof making it dark at times. We were able to shop for a plug in chandelier to ad to the roof and really brighten up the entire area. It's a fantastic addition to our deck and really adds beauty to the ceiling area. We will definetely be enjoying some time out in that area this summer.

Dance Competition

Another dance competition is over for the year, it was a successful week with lots of fun for everyone. We were off to Halifax for the Millenium festival and had a great stay. We got to see some of the sites and sounds of Halifax/Dartmouth and more importantly got to see lots of great dance. The kids did great placing with every performance and carrying home lots of hardware. That means there is only one more competition left for the dance year and we are glad to have it a little closer to home.

Cold Therapy

It can certainly be a scary situation to have gone through surgery and still find yourself facing uncertain recovery. I have heard about a form of therapy used to help in the reduction of pain and swelling in the recovery of joint surgery such as knee, shoulder, elbow etc. These can be difficult areas to heal and Cryotherapy has been prescribed to by doctors to assist in the healing process. This is unfortunately also developed issues with the care not being administered properly causing patients to receive too cold a therapy or too much exposure. The results of this is sometimes nerve damage, chronic pain or even frost bite. It can be so frustrating thinking you are doing the right thing to help your recovery and healing only to find out you were wrongly informed and have caused more damage. If you think you or someone you love might have been a victim of this issue you should take the time to contact the team of professionals at O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers – 808 West Avenue, Austin, TX. 78701 – 512-494-9949 they are working on a cold therapy lawsuit and can assist you in finding the answers you need to help work through your issues.

Winter go away

We went for the last ski day of the year today, the annual slush bowl and hula day. Normally it's nice and hot and we can go skiing in a tshirt or light sweater. This year was a big change, it actually was the coldest day we went skiing this year and we could only get a few runs in before we had to break to warm up. It's pretty surprising and a shame that this is the last day, there sure is lots of snow left and they could have kept it open for a while longer. It was even snowing today when we were on the hill, just didn't seem like there was the usual closure to the season for us.

BRRR

One day to the next you never know what to expect, yesterday it was warm and rainy, with the snow disappearing of the ground so fast it made your head spin. Overnight there was a flash freeze and now everything is frozen and the snow has returned. I hear we should be back to rain by tommorrow and we'll start the cycle all over again. It's sure making a mess of the snow hills.GRRRR.....

Grey's Anatomy

It's almost time for my Thursday fix of Grey's Anatomy, and thankfully it is a new episode this week. It should be interesting with the return of the Grey's father to the show and more drama on the expecting baby front. I'm getting ready to sit back and relax on the couch and enjoy.

Super Bowl "Hot" mega Party

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TABASCO® Original Red. All opinions are 100% mine.

Super bowl weekend is coming up fast and of course it is up to me to come up with the perfect Game-Day Party Menu  to keep everyone nice and full on Game Day. If you are lookign for some recipe ideas for your party check out the link above to the game day party menu. It is an annual tradition for us to have a great super bowl party and this year will be no different. I am planning on making my favorite nacho's with a nice blend of hamburger, tabasco sauce, green peppers, cheese, onions and tomato. These are great baked up in the oven to perfection and served right at half time with either a cheese sauce or salsa. Now for the main course we will have a few choices of pizza to fill up everyone's belly. I am making a couple of favorites this year and really want to  have Pizza Perfected one flavor will be my philly steak pizza with steak and cheese on a 4 cheese sauce the second will be my hot Tabasco special which has grilled chicken, peppers and onion on a special hot sauce made with TABASCO® Original Red sauce and a couple of my own secret ingredients I can't tell you about. I really enjoy using the Original Red sauce as it really brings out the flavor of my other ingredients and puts the heat in any sauce. I hope you all have an enjoyable Super Bowl weekend filled with great food, good friends and fun times.

OK Make up your mind please

I wish Mother Nature would just make up her mind, she can't decide if it's going to rain or snow around here. It started out last night with a great snow and snowed overnight so it looked promising for the ski hills, then around lunch it turned over to rain and made nothing but a mess, I'm sure it ruined the ski hill too....grrr..
