The First School Dance
Tonight is my son's first school dance, I guess that's part of being in Jr. High. He seems pretty interested in going. My boy is growing up so fast, what a change Jr. High has made for him, he is interested and doing well with his work and seems quite happy.

Schools Out for Summer
There's only a couple of days left in the school year, what a fast year it was. The kids are getting ready for an exciting summer and we are happy to have them home. They all had a good year and learned lot's and met a bunch of new friends at their new school. They all made a real amazing transition from their old school and I am so proud of them.

4 WEEKS LEFT OF SCHOOL...
The kids are getting excited, they are down to their last 4 weeks of school then the summer fun begins. The next few weeks will go by so fast with all the field trips and the school fair which will indeed keep me busy as well. I am going along with Kohl primary class to the wildlife park which make for a long but a fun filled day. I am just hoping that the weather is really nice that day. Kohl is also going to the fire station next week with his class. They have been waiting all year to go and the time has come. I have an idea as to what Jay's class will be doing but no word on Trinity's class. Hopefully I will hear something about it soon.
We have the circus coming here June 11th but we aren't sure if we are going to take the kids or not. We will wait to see what comes up in the next few days. Dance is finishing up this weekend, then guitar lessons then school. I can't wait for summer!

CURLING...

The grade 6 classes from the school went into Sydney to the curling club to learn how to curl. This was Jay's first time curling and he loved it! One thing about this school that I love is the way they get the kids out there to try new and different things. Keeping the kids active and interested in what they are doing is one of their main goals and it is great for all the students. Unfortunately with the weather this winter they missed out on all their trips to the sliding hill but we did get them there a few times and had a blast.

Parent/Teacher Night
The end of a hectic night will be the parent teacher night at the kids school. After Dance class we will be heading off to the school to meet with the kids teachers, all the kids brought home improved marks on their report cards and I am in to see the kids teachers regularily but it is still important to have this opportunity to talk to the teachers one on one with no kids around. It is great to get the feed back so I know the kids are doing well and what we can do to help them excell in their work.

The kids are excited to have an extra day off school this weekend. A nice little break for them but filled with lots of excitement and birthday parties! I am sure they will enjoy their extra time home but will be looking forward to going back on Monday.

CURRICULUM NIGHT
Tonight was curriculum night at the kids school. This was my first time actually getting a good look through the school. It was a very good night and I had a great talk with Kohl 's(grade primary/kindergarten) teacher. He is making out really well with his first year and lots of work over the next year. The teachers are great which will make the year a lot nicer for everyone. Looking forward to seeing the kids progress through out the year.
