Super Bowl "Hot" mega Party

Super bowl weekend is coming up fast and of course it is up to me to come up with the perfect Game-Day Party Menu  to keep everyone nice and full on Game Day. It is an annual tradition for us to have a great super bowl party and this year will be no different. I am planning on making my favorite nacho's with a nice blend of hamburger, tabasco sauce, green peppers, cheese, onions and tomato. These are great baked up in the oven to perfection and served right at half time with either a cheese sauce or salsa. Now for the main course we will have a few choices of pizza to fill up everyone's belly. I am making a couple of favorites this year and really want to  have Pizza Perfected one flavor will be my philly steak pizza with steak and cheese on a 4 cheese sauce the second will be my hot Tabasco special which has grilled chicken, peppers and onion on a special hot sauce made with TABASCO® Original Red sauce and a couple of my own secret ingredients I can't tell you about. I really enjoy using the Original Red sauce as it really brings out the flavor of my other ingredients and puts the heat in any sauce. I hope you all have an enjoyable Super Bowl weekend filled with great food, good friends and fun times.

I wish Mother Nature would just make up her mind, she can't decide if it's going to rain or snow around here. It started out last night with a great snow and snowed overnight so it looked promising for the ski hills, then around lunch it turned over to rain and made nothing but a mess, I'm sure it ruined the ski hill too....grrr..

Christmas Countdow

It's official, 2 days left until we hit Christmas, we are trying to finish up our shopping and hit Christmas spirit here today. We will hit the mall and the grocery store so we can hopefully spend Christmas eve together as a family and spend time together without all the hustle of the mall. It has been raining extremely hard here for the last 4 days, I have never seen so much rain, if it had been snow it would have been to the roof of the house I'm sure. That might have been fun, a white Christmas for sure anyway. We won't see that this year but hopefully at least the rain will go away and give some decent weather to celebrate the holiday, Merry Christmas everyone.

Last minute shopping

Oh my the malls are busy, we went out as a family today to try and finish up our shopping, I can't believe there is only 3 days left. We managed to spend the entire afternoon out shopping up a storm and for the most part the kids were well behaved. There was so much more I would have loved to have gotten them this year but we really just had to stop buying stuff. They will have some surprises for Christmas morning and that is the important thing.

Christmas Baking fun

We had a great afternoon after the Christmas parade went by the house it was time to do some Christmas Baking. We made our traditional shortbread cookies and a family favorite cinniman cookies. It was a real family day which we really haven't had in a long time due to our hectic daily lives and it was a lot of fun for everyone. Even the dogs enjoyed themselves and took advantage of some cookie dough that was hanging close to the edge of the counter.

It's Crunch Time

Ok this is it, the final days before Christmas and we need to get as much finished as possible with the little bit of time we have yet. The morning was going to be a good chance for us as all the kids were home from school and we were going to leave them with our oldest but he made some plans to go to a friends overnight so we will now be taking the kids along with us which will make the shopping much more challangeing. It will soon be over anyway so we will make the best of our morning and see where we are after that.

What a goof ball

Well what can you say about a face like this he was having a very good time while we were at magic mountain a couple of weeks back. It was a lot of fun for everyone but I think he was definetly having the best time of everyone as you can tell. It was a full day and everyone was very tired by the time we were finished.

Merry Christmas

It's that time of year when the stores start to get so busy, it's funny because not only are the stores busy but everything gets busy. Work seems to be busier, the kids are all busy with their dance and basket ball activities. Next week brings the kids Christmas concerts at school (different nights of course) and a couple of basket ball games. Soon enough we will be blanketed with a beautiful blanket of white snow and will be enjoying a wonderful turkey supper with family over the holidays.

House

I am enjoying a nice little break to watch my favorite show, House. I always enjoy how they work through the story and in the end come up with some sort of miraculous discovery to save the patient. Tonight was really great with lot's of intrigue and House actually apologizing, of course by the end we discovered in true House fashion he lied about his apology to get what he wanted, go figure but I think that is why people love the show so much.

Oh Christmas Tree

We got to decorate our Christmas tree over the weekend and it turned out great, this was the first year with our new decorations, gold and burgandy. After 10 years of blue and silver it was a wonderful change and we took it through the rest of the house with our garland and window decorations. The house is so pretty and we are now finishing the window lighting over the next few days.

Lego Crazy

The kids are officially Lego Crazy, everyone is into it and they really are having a great time making different creations. They have even asked to mainly have lego delivered for Christmas Morning. It will be a busy day for them building things, although we are finding it hard to find any girly lego so hopefully Santa can find some in the workshop for us.

Bearly Funny

Wednesday was take your kids to work day and Jay and Dad went to work at the store for the day. We were surprised that he enjoyed the afternoon so much that he wanted to go back for the night shift too. He spent his evening putting out toys and that's where he was when he got picked up. The kids came too and they all gravitated right to a boxy of new teddy bears that were going out, there were 4 different bears and without a thought they each picked one out and claimed it as their own. They always get a new bear for Christmas and I guess these will be the ones this year.
