The Party's Over
Well Jay's birthday party is over and I think for the most part all went well. We only sent 1 boy home damaged, got kicked in the mouth while bouncing on the trampoline with the other boys. Normally we only allow 1 kid on at a time but with Jay being 12 we tried to allow him some le-way. By the end one of the boys also broke one of the posts on the trampoline by jumping up and grabbing it and bringing it down on him. The boys weren't long going home after that happened. Luckily my creative husband took the pole apart and re-inforced the pole with a metal pipe we had in the basement and put it all back together so what looked like a big problem turned out to be a 1/2 hour project for my "SUPER HUBBY", I'm so lucky.

FUN AT THE BIRTHDAY PARTY!
It wasn't looking good last night for Kohl. He was invited to a birthday party which was today and but last night was sick. I had already posted that he was feeling much better and he showed no signs of being sick. He was full of energy and spent the day playing nintendo Wii with his older brother so I thought he would be fine to attend the birthday party. I put in down for a sleep this afternoon and he slept until 3:00pm then we got ready and headed to the party for 4:00pm. The party was at McDonalds and he had a great time with his friends from school...I think there were 18 kids in total and what a mess and noise but that is to be expected :0) After sitting there for over 2 hours I am happy to be home and the kids are getting ready for bed. Kohl is looking a little pale so hopefully some more sleep will help him so that he can go to school tomorrow.Thursday, January 17, 2008
***JOY IN HIS EYES...
Trinity was invited to a birthday party today after school at the skating rink. Kohl my 5 years old son came with me to drop her off and wait while I put her skates on her. His eyes lit up while he watched the other kids skate. I felt bad for him because he loves to skate and we don't make it to the rink that often but the other kids have been attending quite a few skating party in the past couple of months and his younger brother went skating this morning, so he was feeling a bit left out. Alyssa's mother came by and invited Kohl to skate with the kids, he was so excited but I had things that needed to be done and back to pick Trinity up to take her to dance classes. The look of disappointment was to much for me. I drove Kohl back home, got his skates and headed back to the rink. To see the joy in his eyes was well worth putting off a few errands. He later joined the party upstairs where he had hot dogs, chips, pop and cupcakes before it was time to go. As we left I heard him say, "Thanks Trin this was a good party!...I even got a treat bag!" Sometimes it's the little things that matter :0)
