My boy the teenager

It is an event 13 years in the making, my oldest boy has turned 13 today and boy is he excited to be called a teenager. There is still some little boy left in him though, I recently took up crochet and made a blanket for my daughter, he thought it was cool and asked for an blankie of his own. With only a week to go before his birthday I busted my but and got it finished last night at midnight. He was pretty excited to see it this morning because he didn't even know that I started it. We took him out to lunch this afternoon and we will be off to the movies later tonight.

Party Time

This afternoon is Jay's birthday party with his friends, what do you do for a 12 year olds party? He's got his air hockey table and his playstation, hopefully it will dry up enough to get them out to the basketball net and do the BBQ. He's got 8 boys coming and we heard rumor possibly a couple of girls???? Oh well he's growing up I guess, we'll see how things turn out, wish us luck.

Birthday Time

Tommorrow is our oldest sons birthday, this year he will be turning 12 and he is becoming a very strong young man. He has done well adapting to our new home and community and has a lot of friends. He is looking forward to having his friends over for a get together this weekend, when our family comes to visit for the weekend as well. Tommorrow we are going to pick him up at school for lunch and take him to his favorite PD buffet. I don`t think he has been there since we moved last year, he is excited especially because it will be just him and us, he is at that stage where he likes to have 1 on 1 time.

***SWEET 16 !

It is hard to believe that in just a few short weeks my baby sister will be celebrating her sweet 16 birthday! She has been looking forward to this day for quite some time and she's been busy making party plans and designing her own special birthday cake. You should see how excited she is, I can only imagine what she will be like on her wedding day! I will have to get the information from my mom as to when her big party will be then the big question. What do I buy my sister for her 16th birthday....any ideas! Help....
